"It was lovely to see so many stars and listen to the stream. We also enjoyed the fire in the wood stove (although we had to stoke it every couple hours). The bed was very comfortable. The walk up in the snow was more strenuous than we expected. Next time we'll pack as if for a hiking trip. We'll also stay for more than one night so we can explore the hiking trails."

"Great stay. Very easy to find and check in, very safe property off the road with little traffic and as it's a small neighborhood all the traffic is slow. Took 3 young kids (3,3,8) and they loved it. The chalet is warm and cozy, two lower bedrooms and the loft which can sleep 3-4. the kids loved sleeping in the loft. There were plenty of heaters and a gas stove so the chalet gets nice and warm. The screen porch was great with the hot tub and the kids were in it multiple times a day. The neighborhood is quiet dirt roads and we'd take the kids cycling down to the beach area and had fires out in the fire pit in the yard. It's only 15 minutes from Fryeburg or 25 from North Conway which has basically anything you could need. Just up the road you have Hurricane Mountain Road and access to Black Cap/North Kearsarge and to the North Evan's Notch and all the peaks in that area. The wifi is slightly slow but didn't really impact the stay, the kids could watch what they want, we could work, it was just slightly slower than what we were used to. Certainly keen to go back. It felt very homely and we could relax and let the kids relax too."

"We loved exploring the abandoned ski mountain and old lodge from Evergreen Valley. It added a level of excitement to our stay. We went to Maine to ski at Sunday River. It was about 45 minutes, which was kind of far, but worth it because the property was really cool. It's dated, which we did not mind at all."

"Last minute trip to Pleasant Mtn with the kids and dogs. Couldntve asked for a better place, especially for the dogs. Lots a room for them to run. Hosts left a nice welcome basket that my teenager ate all the chocolate out of before we could make s’mores. All in all, great house. Thanks, Judi!"

"We loved this cozy cabin. It had a rustic feel but was updated enough to be comfortable. Location was great, felt isolated but still close enough to town. Peace and quiet on the frozen lake. The kids loved the little reading nook upstairs. There were plenty of games and toys for them, and they loved tuning in the antique radio. We loved sitting by the gas stove. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. There were some minor issues that didn’t significantly detract from our stay (no tissues or washcloths, only one dish towel). Make sure you have 4WD in the winter, although the road was nicely plowed. We would definitely stay here again."

"We loved staying at this property for the weekend. We found everything we needed and had a be try comfortable stay. We had asked a few questions to the host during our stay and didn’t hear back so communication was a bit lacking but overall it was excellent."

"This house was perfect for our family to enjoy Thanksgiving together. The kitchen is well stocked and has an open space for people to hang out. The sunroom was a great space for family games and meals."
