We had a great time! Excellent location
The house was laid out as expected and well stocked with almost everything we needed. Clean and tidy, speedy replies from the host when contacted.
Our week at this home was wonderful! The owners were very responsive before and during our trip. There had been several updates/renovations to the home since we had originally booked the property, which was an added bonus. The home is about a 5-10minute bike ride to the beach, so it would be lovely if the property offered bikes (however it was very easy to book some from another company during our stay). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and would book again!
Lovely, spacious home. Our 6 adults and 4 children had more than enough room. Beautiful, well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of hot water pressure in showers. Kids enjoyed watching birds and alligator in pond off porch. Nice 10 min bike ride to beach under spanish moss draped live oaks. Host was gracious and quick to respond. We would love to return in future.
Wonderful location with ample space for many people. Some renovations beautifully completed (baths, kitchen), others likely/hopefully pending for some worn/tired parts of home (wallpaper, rugs, deck, deck furniture). Host responsive. Would be helpful to have physical information book in house explaining island/map, beach access, use of appliances/electronics as we deliberately did not bring extensive computers/internet with us.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The view of the marsh from the living room was so relaxing. The kitchen was very well stocked and nicely updated. The bathrooms also had been updated - the master bath was beautiful! The rest of the house was somewhat dated but the beds and furniture were comfortable. Outdoor gas grill worked great. We had zero complaints.
The house is about 1.3 miles or so to the beach, so I recommend renting bikes. We used Island Bike & Surf (highly recommend) and rented a pull behind cargo trailer for our beach chairs etc. Turned a 30 min walk to a 10 minute ride to the beach. I would stay at this place again in a heartbeat!
Where do I start? So quiet, great location, plenty of space, clean, fully stocked kitchen and lagoon view settled next to a little forest! You will not find a better bang for your buck for families on Kiawah. We will be back and can’t wait
This is our second summer staying at this property and it was just as great as last year! Perfect size house for our group and the house was very clean when we arrived. Hope to come back again next year!
Wonderful place for a larger group. In the middle of some needed renovations but what’s they have done so far looks great! Gorgeous area and a lovely trip. Hosts were fabulous and very communicative.
Beautiful and comfortable home. Would stay there again. The only issues were that the front door keypad did not work but they had back up keys. And the tvs were not smart tvs so we could not stream shows.
Quick family get away and our first time to Kiawah! House was fantastic. Check-in was easy. House had everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked. All of the rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. Plenty of closet space if needed. We rented bikes and rode them to and from the beach each day. Only an 8 min. bike ride to beach access. Enjoyed the many bike trails. We would definitely stay here again. The island is beautiful. Great sunset at the Ryder Cup Bar at The Ocean Club!
Beautiful home host very responsive. Very open to reviews. Few updates and house keeping updates this place would be palace. Would recommend this house you will enjoy
We have vacationed in Kiawah for over 35 years and this is one of the best homes we have stayed in. It is very spacious and accommodating for the 8 adults and our 4 grandchildren. Didn’t have to worry about bumping into each other. Nice deck which we used many times which included a large gas grill which worked out very well
A great property for having an adult family vacation. We had no children with us . Beautiful kitchen, great layout. One main floor bedroom/bathroom( perfect for parents), main suite upstairs is well maintained and has a very comfortable mattress, other bedrooms are down the hall. One bedroom had to be accessed thru another bedroom. Overall a great property.
Size was great. Everyone had a spot to hang out in. Could have used some toiletries: soap, shampoo. Could have used kitchen dish rags, more than 1 roll of paper towels, or 1 extra roll of TP. It’s a great location, though not near the beach. Overall, everybody had a great time!

Beautiful Home. Beautiful Island
This home was beautiful in so many ways. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. The back of the house with the lagoon was such a different location if you are not from the area. There really are alligators so heed the warnings and fish that leap right out of the water too! The first day we had 2 deer just walk right near the deck and into the woods. The Island of Kiawah is picture perfect and the beaches are beautiful. The water was so warm there is literally no shock when you wade into the ocean. Jae was so easy to work with (which is so important when you rent a home). Our air conditioning went on the fritz upstairs and the repair person was there within a couple hours to fix it. We would definitely rent again.

Home in middle of renovations
This property has potential to be beautiful and it’s located in a pretty part of kiawah’s maritime forest. 10 min bike ride to beach. The owners were responsive. The kitchen and baths have been fully renovated but updates are still underway.
The property was clean on the interior, but the decks were unusable, dirty. And outdoor furniture splintering.
Interior doors did not lock, bedroom decor is dated, carpets really need to be replaced. Kids bedroom is in odd location of 3rd bedroom and ran hot, no HVAC flow. Sleeps 12, but 2 in sofa bed off kitchen with no privacy.
Definitely see potential in this property after the renovation is completed

Great for large groups, but needs updates
Positives: First and foremost, the owners are really easy to work with, flexible, and thoughtful. This house was perfect for a large group and comfortably fit everyone. The kitchen was beautiful and there was tons of seating. Even though it wasn’t super close to the beach, it was an easy bike ride and not at all inconvenient. The view of the lagoon is absolutely beautiful and the location is quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay there again.
Negatives: The second floor is very dated, stained carpets, and has a slight musty smell. When we arrived, it was not completely clean (although it was not terrible). None of the dishes or utensils were clean and the grill was full of grease and a fire hazard if used. The washer turned my white bathing suit black and must need to be cleaned. Most concerning are big cracks in the ceiling of the first floor that look like serious water damage.
I don’t say this to deter anyone from renting, as I had a great experience. But I hope the owners will address some of these concerns as I fear they will only becoming more problematic for tenants.
We had a lovely stay at this property over the weekend. Easy to check in and great communication with the property owner. We will definitely stay here again!
This home is phenomenal! The description and photos are accurate except that bathrooms were in the process in being remodeled so they’re even nicer than the photos. A wonderful setting—close enough for a bike ride to the beach and very close to Marsh Island Park—such a quaint and picturesque locale. We will most definitely return!
clean, comfortable, huge, Owner is a great guy, made sure we were comfortable and everything was ok. A little far from beach but again, we were there for Charleston. Easy drive to Charleston and back.
Saw several small deer.
Once confirmation went through, the owner was quick with instructions and details of the house. I would highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again.
This house hosted us during a bachelor weekend with a group of guys, and it was perfect. All amenities were exactly as described, the location was awesome (6 minute drive in both directions to great beaches) and the owners were incredibly responsive when we almost cancelled last minute due to COVID concerns.
If you're heading to Kiawah with a group and need a house, this is a great choice.
Lots of trash around property.
Fan in master had only 2 blades and not able to use.
Thermostats very hard to use and set
Had one member fall in sunken living area very unsafe.
Smoke detector was open with no batteries in it.
Had to purchase toilet paper for 3 day stay?
Have pictures of all concerns if wanted
