"You cannot beat the location, as it is right on the main drag and across from the water, and close to the ferry. It’s also close to shops and restaurants. The staff is very helpful, as I had misplaced an item and they were able to hold it for me. The onsen in the basement is great. The tatami mats in the room are fine, and the futons are also comfortable. The bathroom is a bit outdated, but everything works."
"Excellent Hotel with lots of amenities and a wonderful onsen/ sauna. Great location for catching the 20 minute ferry to Miyajima island which is a beautiful, must visit. Going to peace museum is a lot more of a trek / train ride but it’s not too bad. Highly recommend!"
"We had a great stay at this hotel. Optimal location right next to the ferry. Spacious and clean room with beautiful view and atmosphere. The service was warm and helpful."
"The breakfast was great. Staff was great. Bath was nice. The room was a little less high quality in terms of finishes than I would expect from a place at this price level. And the dinners were quite disappointing relative to the price level and other meals we had with half board at other ryokans/hotels during our stay in Japan. Under seasoned and just not very excellent. Also disappointed that the dinners were French cuisine focused."
"Old traditional Ryokan, a fabulous place to stay, staff were very helpful, the onsen was fantastic, the food was fantastic and the view from the rooms was fantastic "
"A good Hotel in a very convenient location adjacent to the ferry port - a better option than the island itself which is more expensive and gets very crowded "
