"Obviously the hotel is undergoing massive renovations and I’m sure it will be incredible when finished- but be aware right now that your view in the summer of 2026 might be of a building site and the bathrooms for the pool are like portapotties and very substandard. That being said, the hotel itself is gorgeous. We stayed in a lodge that was fantastic and far exceeded our expectations. Extremely comfortable and spacious with two bedrooms upstairs and ensuites. The grounds, particularly the Forest Walk, are lovely. Kids loved the play park! The pool is big and the outdoor hot tub is tiny but nice…missed not having a sauna/steam (assume after renovations they’ll be there). All in all, recommended - after renovations are complete it will be spectacular."

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was lovely, as were the grounds. All 5 star. The bedroom and bathroom were large and very clean, quiet and comfortable with excellent amenities. However on our visit the room was so warm (despite closed curtains) that it was quite unbearable. There was a helpful fan but it only moved the warm air around. No air conditioning in our particular room. Otherwise we had the most lovely time and have no hesitation recommending the Killashee."
