"Please look in the host book on arrival. It is very helpful. The extra linen is hidden in the ottoman. Very clever. It was a very lovely stay!!"

"What a place to stay at Garvault House! It's literally in the middle of nowhere, no light pollution and views of pure wilderness for miles around- amazing location. Food provided was very tasty and dinner becomes a very social setting where everyone is on the dining table, although you can sit privately next door if you wished! Rooms could do with a bit of modernising albeit not too much to take away from the charm of this 'off grid' location. No TVs either, but WiFi and phone signal still good if that bothers you during your stay"

"Beautiful place run by helpful, friendly people. For example, they don't mind if you call them with a question, no matter how obvious the answer is. They have a lovely restaurant there with fun and friendly staff. Also, be sure to tour the area - the Northern Highlands are stunningly beautiful. We had a great time."

"On the route of the nc500. Pets allowed in all areas and made more welcome than the hoomans. Cracking breakfast"

"Excellent accommodation, way above hostel standard. Spotlessly clean, plenty hot water. Ensuite shower-room, large well-appointed kitchen. Peaceful and quiet. Well-mamaged."
