"Good location, very nice place, good food, lovely staff, downside the room was very warm, the fan did help a little."

"Booked through hotel.com. Arrived at the hotel was informed that the kitchen was off so I’d need to go elsewhere to eat or order a takeaway. Got into the room to be greeted by bodily fluid stains on the bedding, black mould on the shower walls, more mould on the window, a bathroom sink that looked like a scene from Saltburn and a shower base that was collapsing. Went down stairs, to ask for another room and they were full booked. Asked to speak to the manager who was in a meeting at 18:45. Rejected the room. Called hotel.com who told me to go and find somewhere else and they would deal with the property. 5 days later and the property haven’t answered a single email or call from myself or Hotel.com which means according to hotel.com’s policy means they are allowed to keep your money. Do yourself a favour and keep your money in your pocket."

"Essentially it's a working-mans club. It's noisy, full of drunks being loud in the corridors, children screaming outside your window until midnight. Parking is also difficult due to the business of the bar and the locals don't like you parking anywhere else. No bin, not hot water (one day of the stay), bed leans towards the head end. It's cheap but just not great."

"Easy to find, parking was a bit hard - not a very big car park out the back, unfortunately I was not able to park in there due to it always being full. Was able to park just down the road. The room was spacious and beds were very comfy, but on the whole the room could do with a bit redecorating. Also not the best if you have young children as the music in the evening is very loud and vibrates through the room."

"We had a wonderful stay. The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Check-in was very smooth and easy, which made us feel welcome straight away, The hotel was great for families with children. They organised evening activities for kids, and my three children absolutely loved them. It made our stay even more enjoyable. I would especially like to thank a gentleman at the reception desk who was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to assist us whenever we needed anything, and his outstanding customer service made a real difference to our experience. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to other families. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

New Hall Hotel & Spa

"Beautiful old main building and well constructed new wing that blended seamlessly with the old main Hall. However, due to the layout and lack of lifts it meant a really long walk from our room to the main reception area. The Hotel seemed to have a lack of staff - the very nice mature lady at reception, was multitasking and ended up carrying our bags up to the room. This staff shortage manifested itself later when we went to have dinner - to be told that the gas was off in the kitchen and therefore they could only serve cold food. A complaint - but not necessarily to the limited staff, was to the guests that stubbed their cigarette butts out on the lawn by the outside terrace - unacceptable behaviour. All in all - beautiful location but only an acceptable level of service and facilities - the public rooms were dated and more resembled the local golf club. It could be so much better."
