"Check in was easy and bed was comfortable. The room was much more run down that I was expecting at $160 a night. Chair cushions were torn, the bathtub was stained, the toilet paper holder broken, and the bathroom fan sounded like it was about to fall apart. Plus the tv remote’s batteries were dead and the mini coffee pot didn’t work. For a “fall asleep on arrival and leave first thing in the morning” stay it was functional but wouldn’t want to stay longer than that."

"We have a rental property in the area. We were all booked up for the weekend. And needed a place for the overflow of friends who came up. The front desk staff were super friendly and made the check in process a breeze. The rooms were clean as well as all bed linen. Raj at the front desk had great customer service. "

"This was supposed to have 6 beds - there was one queen mattress on the floor of the loft and one double futon. Nothing more. To get to the loft, one had to climb a ladder with no handrails, just gripping the steps! As an older person, I could not do this. I was too uncomfortable. I did not trust that I would find it to get down safely in the night. The place was unlocked when we got there - for a person traveling alone, this was not ok. "We loved that this designated historic property is in a historic district - barely half a block from NYState's first senate house! - and maintains a historic "feel" while offering contemporary amenities. Loved the suite style accomodations. The friendly but unobtrusive hosts were always available to help or explain things and told us where to find dining nearby - within easy walking distance, and interesting facts about the town's development.
