"The hotel is in need of refurbishment to say the least the bar area was disgusting seats broken only bottles as pumps not working and dirty glasses infact the hotel should be condemned. The only saving grace was the staff and the breakfast the staff were polite,friendly and helpful especially Annie who made breakfast service a pleasure. Disappointing that hotels.com have this on there web site as im sure if they sent an inspector they would not recommend this hotel I for one will not be...

"Like: the modern feel was great, The staff very friendly and very helpful. The unlimited tea and coffee was great. Breakfast was good and actually worth the expense ( still high) Dislike: The towels for showering was in the toilet as the shower or vicinity had no towel rack. would stay here again"

"Beautiful luxurious hotel on the busy princess street. Rooms are modern and beautiful, comfortable and functional. Loved the fact that it had a pool and sauna. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location, right on the border of old town, easy to reach royal mile and other beautiful sights of Edinburgh. Tour bus stops are right outside the hotel too. "

"Convenient location, walkable to bus stops and city center. The room was small, little room for bags and no seating but works if you are traveling light and spending most of your time outdoors. The breakfast was excellent with different options, recommend getting it as an add on to your stay. "
