Beit Shearim is a national park in the Lower Galilee region of northern Israel. Beit Shearim is known for the remains of a Roman city located on a hilltop and the ancient Jewish burial catacombs located within it. Today the Beit Shearim National Park incorporates both the ruins of the city and the burial tombs.

The city was originally established between the 9th century BC and the 3th century BC during the Persian and Hellenistic periods. But it was during the Roman era that the city was most prosperous as a Jewish settlement – in the 2nd century AD the Jews were expelled from Jerusalem and established several communities in the north, including Beit Shearim. The city was the site of the best known Jewish burial ground at the time as Jews could no longer be buried on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

"Atrium Heathrow was very convenient for us as a stop over point in London between flights. Still within the Heathrow tube zone so there is no fee and the station is literally across the street from the hotel.Stayed there three different times over three weeks.Hotel and staff were 👍😃."

Clean and modern, right on the beach

"I recently stayed at Master Haifa Apartments, and I have to say, it was an excellent choice. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how clean and spacious the apartment was. The modern decor and comfortable furnishings made it feel like a true home away from home. I especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, which allowed me to prepare my own meals easily. The location was perfect right on the beach—close to the rail station so getting around was a breeze. The neighborhood felt safe and lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were very responsive to all our questions. They were always available to answer questions and made sure my stay was comfortable and hassle-free. Overall, I felt I got great value for the price, and I would definitely recommend Master Haifa Apartments to anyone visiting the area. It truly exceeded my expectations!"

An Oasis of Calm

"Carmel Forest was amazing—like stepping into another world. Tranquil, beautiful, and relaxing. I came to stay and visit friends nearby but next time would come and never leave the property. Love the policy of allowing guests to arrive early and stay after checking out to use the facilities. Dining was delightful; I especially liked the evening dinner menu included with half board. Spa facilities were expansive and service was five star!"
