Guest Houses in Kitakatsuragi District

This is a 10 out of 10. The location at the edge of the forest is spectacular. The service is impeccable. We are vegan and they accommodated us with absolutely delicious meals. It is located just on the outskirts of the Nara Deer Park where you are surrounded by a lovely forest ambience and yet you are just a short hike from the Park and its bustling surrounds. The trail just outside the Ryoken takes you up the mountain. It is simply an awesome place!

Very welcoming guesthouse close to Nara park (~20 mins walking) Check in/out was a breeze and has a wonderful shared space downstairs. Would recommend

The room was comfy and actually very spacious. Food near by closes super early so if you're walking keep that in mind. I would recommend an eye mask since the sun rises early and there are only blinds and not curtains! Other than that very charming place!

Best nights in Japan! Great stay! Japanese style. Delicious food. Super courteous host. Will visit again when possible. Thank you. A Gem place.

near by market, clean room with extra towels

Excellent ryokan. I had a room with my own bathroom and shower/tub. Very clean. Comfortable futon.

Very nice staff, and cute decor, just be warned it’s a little outside of the main city proper.

Very quiet, right next to the train station and a 7/11, nice and private.

Truly a gem. Glad I stayed there. Was a blessing and a perfect experience. She is an excellent chef. I had the Japanese breakfast, seafood. Thank you Mieko-san!!!

Awesome

The home was beautiful and comfortable. Everything was well labeled so it was easy to understand access to every amenity. The staff was friendly and informative. They assisted me during a medical emergency. Thank you for your kindness.

This ryokan has a lot of character and feels different from a lot of other ones. It's cozy and functional. The area around it is a little boring, but I guess that's better than a noisy neighborhood full of party people.

The property was very traditional. Quiet and clean.

It is suitable for friends and family to come here to live, although there is no five-star hotel facilities, but the environment is very simple, WIFY microwave, refrigerator and other facilities are, more importantly, very friendly staff, offer home-like comfort, 5...

Very nice overall for the low price.

Good staff
