I was really surprised how few people around the island spoke English, especially in the hospitality industry (it used to not be that way). In fact, I had another hotel down the street booked for our last night before departing and saw how clueless they were when I stopped in to ask about parking and shuttle services. I cancelled that reservation and booked our last night at Nahana instead. Felt more at home there, for some reason. "
