One of The best places We have Ever visited. And there are many. Big recommendation, and The restaurant should get A Michelin. Not The cheapest, but worth every penny.

This was a secret find! A treasure of a place tucked up in the hills near the Black Forest. Historical charm, excellent room and breakfast. Wellness center exceeded my expectations. Lovely staff and easy parking. Across the street is a nice park and the town square and access to the ruins are walkable.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Our dinner was delicious and the breakfast was phenomenal. It is such a peaceful place and the staff were lovely.

We had a nice room on the 18th floor with beautiful views. The room was a great size with a large bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had generous selections. Would definitely stay there again.

Clean room and super staff

Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.

Would stay there again without hesitation.

We scheduled an extra day to spend some time in the area. We were able to use the free local bus system that stopped right across the street from the hotel.

The most efficient use of space ever in a hotel room. U.S. hotels should learn from these guys. Best bathtub...narrow and deep, perfect for soaking after a hard day of travel. Very clean, modern and welcoming room. Two entrances into bathroom, perfect if spouse sleeps in and you get up early. Very well appointed room. The staff was incredibly helpful as well. A nice hotel 15 minutes from central Basel via bus #36. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was worth the money. Note to Basel tourists, this is not a hotel located in Basel but Germany so if you want to get a mobility ticket for free public transport you have to book a hotel located in Basel.The room is very spacious.
