Hotel manager and concierge were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for us. Had a little trouble with the air conditioning, but dealt with quickly and efficiently. Complex and the units are ideal, although in the process of being modernised as some areas looking a little tired in places. Nice and each to get cabs to anywhere on the island.

A nice spot on a beautiful island. Large private villa complex, although beware the 3 bedrooms were all in separate buildings so not great if you have small children. Staff very accommodating. Lovely to have our own private pool.

Amazing villas and service!

We will come back for sure, all villas have private infinity pool and we were in first line with direct access to the beach. Service is wonderful, always available by WhatsApp and very customer oriented. Special mention to Ms. Pornthip, the best manager!

The unit sizes are very large as these are self contained villas and not essebtially a traditional hotel. We were upgraded to a much larger and better unit with asking beach views. Beach isn't really swimmable there are large rocks.

What an amazing experience! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They helped us book a tour, arrange a ride to the airport etc. They went above and beyond service expectations! They even delivered us a surprise cake for my husband’s birthday! The Villa was beautiful, clean, the views breathtaking. Having our own private pool was fabulous. The restaurant served an excellent breakfast and we also ate there for dinner one evening and the food was delicious. I highly highly recommended.

Unaware of hotel upgrade in process. I have stayed here many times in the past pre covid. Hotel under new management & building works. Hotel is tired and in need of major refurbishment or price reduction. Breakfast very basic & new staff not trained properly of what to do. Samui suffered greatly during covid and is slowly getting back on its feet.

o anyone who wants to book Kanda after 2025, please read this first: The pictures show you what you get, but in new condition. Everything is aged now, but it is still worth it. This is the reason why you can book it for a cheaper price; otherwise, you would definitely have to pay more than 500€ per night! We had a nice time there, and the staff is really kind and very helpful. Anyway, here is a list of things that didn't work: Both ACs in the living room / Villa (Not so important), Washing Machine (Not Important), Microwave in the kitchen (Not Important), and Hot Water (Obviously Important). It is Thailand, and you can easily shower with cold water, but from such a hotel and also with the reduced prices, you can expect hot water. My recommendation: call Kanda before reservation and get a written confirmation regarding hot water, and then book. Besides that, you can have a beautiful time there :)

Needs some maintenance

The villa is very big. The staff is nice and kind, always eager to help. But I think this place needs some maintenance or maybe even renovation. During our stay, 2 of our bedroom's toilets were clogged and were never repaired since. The situation got even worse on the last night, the septic tank water reversely flooded onto our yard causing the stinky smell all over our yard and pool. The breakfast is another part that should get a 1 star. We stayed there for 5 straight nights, and every morning the breakfast menu never changed. Imagine you stay at a place where not too many restaurants and shops nearby and your only choice is the same menu same as yesterday and the day before yesterday which is quite pretty frustrating. Considering the price we paid for the 4 bedroom villa and could only get this kind of quality of service, we would try somewhere else next time.

How did Kanda get 5 stars???

Not even close to a 5 star hotel experience. Dont know where to start. Breakfast is very poor - very few options and poor quality. The Villa itself was Ok but common areas are very bad maintained- felt like the place was abort going bankrobcy any minut. Almost no service and no facilities. The gym closed and so was restaurant - only a few food options in the café - agian poor quality. The pools are dirty eventhough chlorine level seems high and mentioned - no action. Outside light not working -agian mentioned but no action. I have never written a poor review on the many 5 star accommendations booked at hotels.com - but this is just below all standards - 3 star on a good day. Do not book. Used neighbour hotel - Hyatt - for all 5 star activities like spa, food and drinks

Subject: Feedback Regarding Our Stay Dear Bruce, We appreciate the effort you’ve put into making your property available for guests, and we must say the views are absolutely stunning. Additionally, your warm welcome and thoughtful communication were much appreciated. However, this stay did not meet our expectations, and we feel it’s important to share our experience with you. Here’s a list of concerns we encountered during our stay: 1. Construction noise: There was construction happening the entire time we stayed here, with workers on the roof and the constant noise of saws and other tools. This made it very difficult to relax by the pool. 2. Hot water: There is barely any hot water. 3. Bathtub and sink issues: The bathtub cannot hold water because the stopper doesn’t work. Additionally, one of the faucets in the master bathroom is so loose that it wobbles significantly. 4. Lighting: The hallway light and the pool light are not functioning. 5. Television: None of the televisions had service during our stay. Someone came out to try to fix it but said it couldn’t be resolved and that you would need to contact the provider. This explanation didn’t make much sense, and the issue remained unresolved. 6. Internet: The internet connection was so poor that we couldn’t use it at all during our stay. 7. Bed comfort: The bed is extremely hard, causing back pain. We requested an extra cushion or topper to make it more comfortable.

We were very disappointed by this hotel. The villas are lovely but unfortunately poorly maintained. We stayed there with my husband for a week which we were looking forward to relaxing in but it was a nightmare. It was impossible to get to sleep as the air conditioning was so noisy. We tried to turn on the fan but it squealed even louder. In addition, the cupboards were very dirty when we arrived, the bathroom sink was blocked and there was a room that was locked which we were unable to use even though we had booked the whole villa. We reported these problems to the manager, but they were only partially resolved, and only one day before our departure, so it was totally pointless. Furthermore, the staff are very disrespectful. On several occasions they took the liberty of entering the villa without warning, even though we had put up a "do not disturb" sign at the entrance. The day before our departure, for reasons we don't know, the house was not cleaned. And finally, we had included breakfasts in our stay, which were a sham, not to say a complete rip-off. Apart from the fact that it was very expensive (there are many places on the island that offer high quality breakfasts 4 times cheaper than here), almost empty, the few choices on offer were pork-based, which is disrespectful for Muslim, Jewish and vegan customers. In short, the island of Koh Samui offers many better quality hotels at lower prices. We invite you to fall back on those and to skip Kanda Residences Pool Villas.
