"Thought the spa was included, but not so. Also had to book a time to use it and we couldn't get a convenient slot during our stay so didn't get to use it. Consequently it was an expensive stay for what we had - a lovely room."

"Fantastic breakfast, nice shower, superb outdoor rooftop with bar and heated small pool. Great location with many walking and biking trails through the park, down the river and into town. A bit noisy with motorcycles in the evening. Lovely place."

"A really welcoming and clean hotel in an ideal location if travelling by train. Booking always includes breakfast, afternoon Fika and a buffet dinner. The room itself is compact though the bathroom is adequate size. Karlstad itself is very laid back place and the weather tends to be slightly better than other parts of Sweden. More geared for a relaxing break."

"Greatest place for kids. Nice grounds. Didn’t find the shared showers. But that’s because I misunderstood the ”spa” part and didn’t read the shared facilities properly. Breakfast was a bit bare, but this was definitely off season. "
