This location was great for our family of 5. Bunk beds and sofa-bed made the sleeping arrangement super easy. Beds were clean and comfortable :) Kitchen wasn’t overly equipped, but had enough to make some basic breakfasts before our days out and about Kyoto. Fridge, stove, microwave, kettle and a range of kitchen tools and utensils. Location was close enough to sightseeing, train stations, dining, grocery store and shopping :)

The staff was great. I loved how they had little tidbits about what each staff on duty liked. Rooms were clean and spacious, as advertised. And loved their showers. They warned us that laundry would take 3 hrs which I appreciated. It was useful for a small load. Would recommend the place.

The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. They speak English fluently as well. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. It’s a great hotel for large families for sure. I’ve stayed at a couple other Mimaru locations, and have enjoyed my stay at every one of them.

Loved the room layout and amenities ( kitchenette, utensils, washer/dryer, bunk beds for the kids). Location is 10 mins walking from Nijo castle and 5 mins from Sanjo market for casual evening stroll and dinner. Not that close to any station particularly but we used 'go' app for the tourist spots and so enjoyed more laid back location.
