We had such a wonderful stay at Mitsuki Kyoto. I loved staying in a traditional Japanese inn and enjoyed the afternoon teas and incredible multi-course breakfasts. Yoko, our host, was so helpful and pleasant. She speaks very good English. She gave us great tips when we planned our daily activities and was fun to talk with a share our adventures at the end of each day. The room and communal spaces were beautiful and peaceful and we slept really well on the futons. The bathroom had everything we needed and I liked how there were 3 separate rooms - one for the toilet with small sink, a room with a larger sink area and a separate room for the shower and tub. There was also a separate rome to store our luggage and hang our clothes so that the sleeping room remained tidy and uncluttered. The location was excellent - close to buses and subway and also walkable to many places. I would stay there again if back in the area and highly recommend.
An absolutely delightful stay at Mitsuki Kyoto. Yoko, the landlady, is wonderful and made us feel super welcome. The inn is absolutely gorgeous, with an exquisite design. The bedding is super comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was excellent, as beautiful as delicious. We highly recommend Mitsuki Kyoto and we thank Yoko again for her wonderful hospitality.
Loved everything about this ryokan. Area is quiet yet convenient and close to both scenic attractions as well as the market and shopping areas. Yoko, the host of the place, is friendly and thoughtful. The place is beautiful and everything is done to create a warm and homey living space. It’s like stepping into the home you didn’t realise you had in Kyoto :). I would definitely stay here again.
Séjour très agréable dans cet établissement traditionnel japonais. Seulement 2 chambres, un service personnalisé de la part de Yoko, un excellent petit déjeuner japonais. L’expérience mérite le cout plus élevé qu'un hôtel.
This small ryokan - just 2 rooms - is on a quiet back street very near the Imperial Place. Yoko is a wonderful innkeeper. Our room was on the small side, but we enjoyed our stay. We wished we'd had time to use the 2 bicycles available for guests.
Yoko was very accommodating and friendly. She went all out to help us with our heavy luggage, and made sure our stay was perfect.
Ryokan is well located, within walking distance from subway as well as to good food.
Would love to stay longer next time.
Great place to stay, Yoko (owner) was very friendly and welcoming, speaks very good English for non-Japanese guests. Tradtional Japanese room with modern toilets, and lovely breakfast. Cannot fault anything throughout our stay, highly recommended
Amazing accommodation and host. Yoko was truly amazing and helpful and we won't forget our wonderful stay. Would unreservedly recommend this accommodation.
Lovely stay with lots of recommendations based on our plans. Upstairs room / bathroom is VERY spacious. As is typical with buildings 100+ years old, sound travels but it wasn't really an issue for us since we were the only guests (the ryokan has 2 rooms). She also lent us her own bicycle on the day of check out so that we could spend the day out and about so that the other bicycles would be available for the guests checking in later that day. Would definitely stay again!
Loved everything about it! Excellent and clean facilities, newly refurbished two room ryokan. Yoko, the owner, is so sweet and helpful. I'd recommend staying here any time!
Good location, 2 mins walk to subway & 20 mins walk to Gion. Very impressive with the hotel atmosphere & staff service. Very personal & attentive. Staff is very friendly & helpful. It's very good if anyone like to experience Japanese traditional hotel.
