Microtel Inn & Suites Montreal Airport - Dorval QC

Microtel Inn & Suites Montreal Airport - Dorval QC

8/10 Good
"Rooms were fine - on the smaller side - but fine. Staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was busy (in weekend) but decent! Location is hard if you’re going into Montreal - took anywhere from 45min to an hour to get into the city."

Hôtel Monroe - Downtown Montreal

Hôtel Monroe - Downtown Montreal

10/10 Excellent
"Six of us traveled from Ottawa to Montreal for a family wedding. Wishing to find a place that would accommodate all of us, I booked the three bedrooms, three bathrooms suite at Hotel Monroe and was very happy with the accommodation. The suite was quite spacious with wrap-around balcony and windows, allowing lots of light in the kitchen/living-dining area. There were patio chairs and tables on the balcony and a great view. There were two good-sized bedrooms, one with an ensuite with shower; the third bedroom was a much smaller space just off the kitchen area, furnished with a double bed, dresser, and chair. Kitchen well equipped; washer & dryer in utility closet in hallway. Hotel Monroe very centrally located, easy walk to the church on wedding day, as well as to the reception held at the Windsor Ballroom"

"Location is excellent. Right downtown and close to allot of great things. The hotel staff were very frendly and helpful! The Hotel itself is showing it's age. Some work needs to be done..dirty carpets and peeling paint but...overall it was clean. Breakfast was very basic with no hot foods. Location made the stay worth the stay. If you have mobility issues choose another place..allot of stairs!"

"Great location if you’re travelling by car. The hotel is right next to Highway 15, but despite staying on the 10th floor facing the highway, traffic noise was barely more than background noise. Namur Metro station (Orange Line) is within walking distance. Jean-Talon Street W and Avenue Van Horne are just a block away, making it easy to reach Little Italy and Jean-Talon Market, Plateau-Mont-Royal, Mile End, and Little Portugal within roughly 40 minutes. A supermarket and an açai bowl café are directly across from the hotel, while a small strip mall with restaurants including Dunn’s Deli is a few minutes’ walk toward the Metro. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained. The kitchenette is well equipped, with the large refrigerator and microwave particularly useful for longer stays or keeping food and drinks in the room. Breakfast is standard Hilton fare and perfectly adequate. One missed opportunity is the lack of local Montreal touches. Offering authentic Montreal bagels, an inexpensive local specialty, would have been a nice way to give guests a taste of the city instead of the generic bagels and pastries served. The parking garage is bright, clean, and easy to navigate. At the time of our stay, parking was CAD $25 per day. Overall, a comfortable and practical base for exploring Montreal, especially if you’re arriving by car."

"Airport shuttle was great but a little confusing at YUL. Easy check-in. Comfortable beds and quiet room. Rooms thoughtfully designed."
