My husband and I, along with our 3 adult children and spouses stayed at the cozy cottage. It was a great location…just a quick drive to downtown or the Oktoberfest grounds. We had everything we needed and felt right at home.
We had 2 families, staying in LaCrosse for a memorial service. Our adult kids didn’t want to sleep in the same beds, but there was plenty of room on the floor of the bedrooms to blowup air mattresses so it worked out perfectly. The house is charming and centrally located with a great coffee shop only a five minute walk away, which was super convenient. We would absolutely stay here again.
This was a lovely little place and was exactly what we expected for our friends getaway weekend! The neighborhood was quiet and the house was clean with plenty of space as there was only 4 of us. It was also close to the downtown area with plenty of activities and small shops to explore. While we didn't necessarily use it, there is a large backyard and I did appreciate that the hosts provide an array of books if you need something.
We had a multigenerational get away, and this cottage had enough room for the 8 of us. It's cute and super convenient; a nice sized back yard. One important note for less mobile people, the stairs are steep and while there is a main floor bedroom the main floor half bath would require use of either the 2nd floor tub style with shower bath or the basement walk in shower. Entry also requires 3-4 steps.
Would recommend! Will be sharing with friends with college students in the area!
Our recent stay at the Cobblestone Cottage was great! It was exactly what we needed for 3 families for a weekend in La Crosse for my niece's high school graduation! My parents stayed in queen bedroom on the main level (with half bath), my sister's family stayed in the king & double bedrooms in the upper level with their 2 middle schoolers (full bath) and my family stayed in the king basement bedroom with our 5yr old son on his toddler air mattress (full bath).
The kids all loved the hammock chairs in the porch and the kitchen had everything we could've needed!
We'll definitley be back again!
Wonderful house, clean, spacious, great location, exactly as portrayed in the listing. Perfect for our group’s long weekend away visiting our college daughters for Oktoberfest.
We visited here with a group of friends and all of our kids. The space was great to hang out in. Great location and the kids loved playing in the back yard.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your charming house. We loved everything about it! The house had everything we needed and the neighborhood is super cute! This was a perfect spot for college girlfriends to come together and enjoy LaCrosse! I would definitely stay here again with friends or my family!
The location was in Historic District and the neighborhood was amazing! It was close to downtown shops, restaurants and the Mississippi River. A few negatives we had was the downstairs shower was very very small, so everyone used the upstairs shower. We had a tough time contacting the owners of the home, but when we contacted the number listed for the management company, they were extremely helpful and supportive! Otherwise it was a pretty nice stay!
Was nice to have a place for our furry and people friends to stay. However, with there being 7 of us and the full bed upstairs taking on a U shape when laying on it, our single friend had to sleep on the couch for the stay, which was not ideal. Shower in the basement could use a good scrub/hard water cleaning. Shower/bathtub upstairs drains really slow. Some loose tiles on the floor. Water damage in the basement and carpet coming up in the room down there. Otherwise looks like the pictures. Fall colors were great!
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Older home, but nicely updated. Communication with owner was great. A few concerns we had: terrible mattress in upstairs bedroom - deep sag in the middle, bowed on both ends! House description states all new mattresses & linens - this clearly was not new. 2 windows in screen porch were cracked; these need to be replaced for safety reasons. Multiple cobwebs throughout the house & very dirty windows; otherwise, house was reasonably clean. Was a nice gathering place while in town for a wedding & location was great. All in all, a nice place but felt it was overpriced.
