When we booked this hotel, we somehow thought it was in Marbella and right on the beach...we were wrong on both counts. It is in Casares (near Marbella) and is about a 5-minute drive up the road from the beach. No matter, it has its own private Beach Club with prompt shuttle service. While the Beach Club is beautiful with a wonderful restaurant and spectacular pool, the beach itself is very uninspiring. We had the best stay at the boat house! Everything was super clean and comfortable - and it feels like they’ve thought of literally everything you may need. They had an excellent guidebook, easy to get to, easy parking, and even free bikes to use to explore the area!

I stayed at El Pilar last March and returned for one night because of the service, location and beautiful property. The front desk is always helpful and always wear a smile. The recognized I had been there in March, so check in was easy. The roof top bar is awesome as is a light breakfast downstairs.

This was a great stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, and the staff was super welcoming. The only improvement I would recommend is enhancing the internet coverage, as the signal was weaker than we expected.

The staff was amazing, they made me feel like family. the restaurant food and staff especially Elena we're outstanding. I stayed in room 208 with a balcony overlooking the water. And the heated pool on the rooftop Was a great place to relax.

The place was ultra clean and even better looking than the photos. Great pool. We did walk to town and back once but a car or uber is needed if you return late. It was nice exploring the old town & beach but enjoyed returning ln the afternoon. Large Aldi not far to get food for meals if needed.

Room service is extremely slow, even for reheating food. No freezer just a fridge. Have to call to request ice. Takes forever. The property is really nice though.

Love our stay it was clean and in a great area. The staff was very helpful and we really enjoyed our time. Would go again.there is many restaurants in the area if felt very safe . We loved Estepona great place we also did a day trip to girbraltar which was fun. The people there are very friendly and the beach and bars are just steps away.

Strategically well located. They have a washer, free of charge. They printed a beautiful color map of Algeciras. They have complimentary coffee or tea, too.

Clean room, easy to find, quiet street & plenty of great restaurants close by! It was a great place to stay after having a long day in Morocco & getting off the ferry at night!
