"Me and the wife was expecting the Washington suite which is in the main manor. The pictures of the room clearly shows the arched windows of the house. We went there for the experience of the Manor. What we got was there so called suite room which was a basement under the house. I overlooked that. But when we went to sleep, the outdoor lighting kept us up ,because it shined in our room all night. They had no drapes to close, just blinds. Room was warm, the bed was horrible. "Beds were so comfy!!! I slept like a rock! We had a balcony that overlooked the water and that was lovely. There is a restaurant but it was not open while we were there. There are some restaurants nearby at least. The hotel was quiet until there was a Dab convention. Someone at the convention put bumper stickers on our car, which was not requested and upset us. The only reason I would reconsider staying there in the future is the restaurant. It would be nice not to have to go out to eat."

"This hotel is the perfect location for folks visiting Fort Leonard Wood. It was extremely accessible to the base and the primary reason we chose to stay there. All the staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk on the day we checked in was incredibly helpful and provided us maps and restaurant suggestions for the area. The free breakfast really packed a punch offering fresh scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage when a lot of free ones do not. It's a small one with a small eating area, but there somehow was always a place to sit and the food never ran out despite the foot traffic. The hotel IS older which you can tell with certain things. For instance the elevator was slow and creaky and the stairwells looked old and grungy with some places on the carpet in the main travel areas showing some stains, but my room and the breakfast area never felt dirty. The king rooms are a little bit on the small side, but the bed and pillows were comfortable. Didn't like that the bathrooms didn't have exhaust fans and our room was a little humid, but otherwise everyone was good. There is a restaurant you can walk to (please note it is not on property like we thought it was) which was pretty good but their hours are a bit limited. We enjoyed and would return again. For the price we paid, I feel like it was absolutely worth it."
