Cottages in Ladakh

"The Grand Dragon Hotel is great. The staff are great, the food is great, and the rooms are great. On our return of the hotel after a few days in the Nubra Valley, we were given our old room, which was perfect. The war began the night prior to our planned departure for Delhi, and all flights were (and are) cancelled indefinitely. The owner of The Grand Dragon has graciously provided FREE accommodation and FREE dining until such time as we are able to get transportation from Leh! What could be better than that?!!"

"The food was fantastic. Zagmo and the kitchen staff turned out excellent food. The India food was much better than any Indian Restaurant we know on Vancouver Island, and the kitchen staff was able to make excellent Western style breakfasts when we wanted them. All of the staff were great, from the front desk to the porters. Even if I were to stay in a less expensive hotel in Hunder, I would definitely come to this hotel just for the meals!"

"A very simple property in Leh but really good value. And the staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. They even stored our luggage for us as we went for an 8-day trek. The location is also perfect for exploring the main downtown plaza. Simple facilities but the staff more than make up for this."
