"We had a standard studio room booked . I emailed asking if possible to get the best room available for us , because we were celebrating our birthdays (60 and 62). we were on the 7 th floor with a side sea view. It was good , maybe the better studio apartments were more expensive. The room was very clean , comfortable bed ( sheets were changed a lot ) . The kitchen had everything you could need . A tip would be to take coffee capsules, as you get 4 complimentary, and they are expensive to buy locally. My only complaint , there were 6 hangers in total. and only 3 shelves for clothes. we were there 9 days, so i used my case . Overall the hotel staff were good , the location of the hotel is excellent if you like a peaceful, close to the beach area. it was a 10 minute walk to “ the strip. “ where there were lots and lots of delicious restaurants and lively bars, or quieter bars , whichever you prefer. Alvor is a great place, and the portuguese are friendly and welcoming. We were there 25th june to 4th july. although the hotel was busy , the most people round the ( heated) swimming pool was 12 at any one time. most afternoons we had the pool to ourselves. excellent"
