"Our hosts Fatima and George were the best hosts we have ever had in many VRBO experiences. There was a fresh baked cake, basket of cheese, basket of fruit, basket of bread/biscuits and a bottle of wine waiting on the dining room table when we arrived. The patio off of the house was a fantastic private setting for evening wine and cheese. The old basalt cottage was impeccable, it looked brand new as if we were the first to occupy!"

"Our stay here could not have been better. Joana and her father's hospitality were fantastic. They are very welcoming hosts who made us feel at home immediately. This a great spot to relax and from which to explore Pico. Amenities are excellent and you are very close to a local "natural swimming pool" and ocean side "pub". Pico is a large island with a lot to see and do so if you are staying here I would recommend a rental car. Thank you Joana and Francisco for a wonderful stay!"

Proximité de la mer ( énormes vagues qu'on regarderait pendant des heures ) et vue sur le Pico que nous avons aussi pu faire jusqu'au sommet dans d'excellentes conditions. Marco est très réactif. "A fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo é um dos lugares de visita obrigatório em S. Jorge. Embora não tenha acesso de carro, existem dois trilhos que permitem o acesso ao lugar. Fizemos o trilho mais pequeno e demorámos aproximadamente 1 hora (levávamos crianças connosco). Alternativamente, este trilho pode ser feito com moto4. Vários habitantes locais fornecem esse serviço aos turistas para facilitar a entrada e saída da fajã. O nosso anfitrião (o Miguel), também se disponiblizou para nos facilitar...

"What a great host and the setting was absolutely heavenly. We came so my wife and daughters experience Pico as it was the home of my Avo and Ava who where from Lages do Pico and they get to know there heritage. We will return again for a much longer stay and the people of the Pico are warm and friendly will to assist. The food was spectacular and it brought me back to my childhood growing up in a Azorean Portuguese family in California. Thank you and my Gods Blessings be with all in the Pico."

"The house is lovely, well appointed and spacious. Walking path was accessible from ocean side and ocean swimming area very close. James was super accommodating and informative. Weather was not swimming weather but sitting poolside with a book and a glass of wine soaking in the evening rays and listening to the ocean waves crashing was most enjoyable."
