"The only suggestion, and not a criticism, would be to have a later check out. To have the ability to cook a last breakfast, clean up and have coffee on the deck without the early exit pressure, would make it a 5 star rating. I am a country girl so understand the well system/water pressure situation, the city folks were thrown so it could throw some other travelers from major cities.Place was clean, welcoming, and had the essentials. The view and wildlife was perfection. As was the communication with the host. If they will have us back, would love to return."

"We found Nalu Retreat to be a true gem! The Dome was just like it appears in the photos. Everything was clean, clean, clean and tastefully done. As a former boutique hotel manager & chef I was impressed with the attention to detail. Comfortable leather sofa, extra throws, nature sounds, plenty of plugs, kitchen supplies, Robes, Turkish towels, goodies in the kitchenette, too many to mention. We were enthralled with the setting and enjoyed our time in the hot tub and the privacy surrounding us. We didn’t have the opportunity to use the fire pit but appreciated it being there of hope to get a chance next visit. We would love to go back and stay longer. The staff is responsive and friendly. Three things that might make for an even better stay. (1). The retreat sends you a video that you must watch to receive the WIFI instructions. I did not see that email until we were on Myra Road approaching the driveway and just then we lost cell service. (2.) You may lose cell service approaching the retreat. That made for a stressful hour or so…driving back in the opposite direction to find wifi/cell service to continue watching the video…then retrace our drive to find the dome. Maybe it could be sent to guests earlier? (3). The bed itself was not so great, a high end mattress would make a longer stay much more enjoyable and would fit well with all the other top notch amenities this lovely place has to offer. Book it! You will love it!"

Lakeside Guest House - Porters Lake

"Beautiful, comfortable and clean property with beautiful water views. Kitchen had a great selection of items for cooking during our stay. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Towels were provided for showers and swimming off the wharf. Property was very quiet. Fire pit with comfy chairs was a great way to spend our evenings. Thanks to the hosts and especially Barney for having us. Would definitely stay again."
