"Our stay was cosy - the view is jaw dropping and good access to exploring the mountains area, and loads of space. The property felt very lived in (my wife stated "I think someone lives here?') - wardrobe full of clothes, used shoes and slippers, and a toothbrush and shower caps in the bathroom. The kitchen was a little dirty and we were unsure if the sheets in our bed were clean, and the pillowcase was very stained. The TV didn't work properly for us either. A great mountain base, great views (10/10), and good value too, but a slightly odd experience for us.Ralph was an organised host and check in was very easy, easy to deal with for sure."

"There was no cold water in the shower and fridge leaked. A code was sent to who knows how to enter the room with code and room number but because I booked through wotif I didn’t get it so had to enter reception which was locked. Gentleman opened the door and wrote information on a wripped off peice of paper. Outside lights came on very late so difficulty seeing room number and needed phone light to see pin pad when we arrived at 6.30"

"The room was clean, the staff were excellent, and the breakfast was also excellent. We did have trouble with working the air conditioner, but staff came to fix it. We were disappointed that we didn’t have Netflix, as we did in the previous hotel we stayed in, but overall we enjoyed our stay, with the bonus spirit that took a liking to my bed!"

"Rydal cottage was a delight. Clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed an open fire of an evening with plenty of firewood provided. The grounds were picturesque and fenced to be pet friendly. The communication from the host was appropriate and informative. We highly recommend the cottage and host, and look forward to future visits."
