"We loved our stay. We have 2 younger boys and it was great they could each have their own room upstairs. I would encourage if you plan to bring food in to bring a few tupperware or ziplock bags for leftovers as the house didn’t have any. Which is totally fine. In late May, water was Luke warm 15 feet out but past that it was ice cold. Kids loved kayaking during the day and the beach space was great to look for seashells. It wasn’t far to Gimli and a good hour to most things in Winnipeg. There’s a fire ban in Manitoba so that cut out camp fire ideas out but it was totally fine. Loved it and the kids have already asked when we’re going back! "

"We really enjoyed our May long weekend getaway here. It didn't matter that the weather was cold and rainy because we cozied up in front of the woodstove, or sat around the spacious table playing board games. There was enough room that we didn't feel crowded being cooped up together, and the cabin had all the amenities we could have wanted. When it dried up a bit, we enjoyed the short walk to the lake and the many outdoor spaces for relaxing around the cabin."

Chris was so accommodating to our needs, is a clear and patient communicator and always had answers to our questions. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay, and as foreigners we felt very welcomed in this country by how Chris conducted himself in this transaction. "This Pine Cottage was exactly what we wanted for a couple days over Easter with our family. The cottage was very quaint, tidy, and well-stocked, and included firewood. Perfect size for a family of 4 and in great proximity to beach and 10min drive to Gimli. The kids did not want to leave....which is always a good sign.
