"Checkin was easy, however it was raining and we had to drag our luggage up outdoor stairs. There was a small shopping area on the property with some very cute stores. I purchased some unique handmade jewelery there. We didn't have time to check out the dining room."

"It was a great cabin with an amazing view. If you are looking for a semi-secluded getaway away (it is still fairly close to beaches and the city), this is a great choice.
My only gripes are some deferred maintenance issues (not too bad) and that it was advertised as a two bedroom. It is a one bedroom with a lofted area that consisted of a mattress on the floor. I don’t think that it was very useful.
The roads up to the cabin can be steep and challenging, but very doable.
The communication with the owner/manager was great. He met us for an early h cg coming with no issues.
Overall, it was a great experience that I would recommend. But understand it is more for an escape. You will not want to keep going up and down the mountains for food, etc. "
"What a special place to have stayed! The Pax Guest House is located atop Mount Saint Augustine in one of the nicest locations on Trinidad. Fantastic views from this well-preserved guesthouse that dates to 1925. Fantastic hosts manage this property. They are very helpful and reliable. The guesthouse provides a very delicious breakfast in the morning. Guests should be mindful however that bathroom facilities for some rooms (not all) are shared with other guests. "
