"Tucked along the shore, this El Delfín estate was a magical sanctuary for our large extended family. It is an exceptional venue for hosting, with expansive spaces that made gathering together feel effortless, joyful, and memorable.Being right on the ocean was breathtaking. The massive, crashing waves were an omnipresent force—the ultimate natural white noise for deep relaxation. Daily life centered around the pool, which made cooling off simple, fun, and refreshing day or night. When retiring for the evening, the air-conditioned bedrooms offered cool, crisp retreats that made falling into deep, comfortable sleep completely seamless. Our stay was elevated further by the on-site staff, whose attentive, warm, and gracious hospitality made everyone feel welcomed and cared for from start to finish.A few practical notes for future guests: The main dining area is upstairs, which may pose a challenge for elderly travelers or anyone with limited mobility. Additionally, common spaces like the kitchen and dining areas rely on ceiling fans and open sliding doors rather than central A/C. It was breezy and pleasant for most of us, but heat-sensitive guests may prefer the cool comfort of their bedrooms during the hottest afternoon hours. Finally, the peaceful setting sits about 25 minutes from El Centro and an hour from the airport, so plan travel times accordingly.All in all, an extraordinary coastal getaway. "Our host Nicole was very welcoming and was always available to answer our questions. The apartment has a great view with close proximity to the beach. The only reason we rated four stars is that as retirees we found the building not suitable for the elderly due to uneven, poorly lit walkways and missing handrails. Otherwise the building is great for the young people."
