"The room was really nice. I wish I would have known the balcony was an indoor balcony. I thought I would be able to step out and enjoy the night air that was disappointing but overall the hotel was nice. "

"Everything amazing only the poolside hours is to 10pm the was closed before time and open again at 2pm we already have to leave at 12pm is not to much time for the pool next morning disappointing!! "

"Selected this place because it was located close to Rte 287 so I could get back on the road next day. Didn't have time to tour around so not sure about shops nearby. Staff was cordial and helpful. While promo pics were appealing, you can tell this is an old, old place that is in need of some renovations such as better lighting in the very spacious old style bedrooms that dreary even though there are good beds but sparse furnishing. If you have mobility issues beware that there are no elevators for guest use and lower free parking areas don't have stairways to the upper levels. Conclusion, if you're looking for a place close to the highway and a good bed to sleep in, the cost is market fair. Don't know they have the $$$ but this could a neat place with an upgrade! "

"Had breakfast Sandwich and a Quiche muffin which was premade and both were tasteless. This was from the small cafe as Breakfast was over. Thought it disappointing that no food was available from 11am to 5pm from the restaurant."

"Everything was wonderful. I stay at the Ethan Allen when I’m in the area. Lately it has been because my mother has had to go into long term care in Danbury. Very stressful, but at the end of the day I come back to a restful room, smiling and accommodating staff, and good food so I don’t have to go searching for something eat. Thank all of you for your hospitality. "

"not sure if there was an event but the lobby had food sprawled out all over the floor and the staff charged me a early check in fee when someone showed up right after me and was not charged for a early check in "
