"A true gem of a place to stay. We only stayed for one night as we were travelling on business, but would have been very happy to stay for much longer. The property itself is excellent and the extra touches - such a fresh cake and a quality coffee machine - make this place really special."

"This is an attractive and traditional accommodation, with the added touches of delicious home made(and grown) food by Marianne, the host. Although a mile or two outside Barnstaple, the scenic road to town takes only 12 minutes to travel, through rolling green hills. I didn't see any local buses go by. As there are few restaurants nearby, and Marianne doesn't provide evening meals, you may need to eat, say, in town."
