"LOOK NO FURTHER! If you are visiting Machu Picchu, this hotel is perfect for your trip. They are conveniently located to many restaurants and just outside the Peru Rail train station. But beyond the proximity and convenience, Casa Del Sol is truly a customer-oriented place of business. Upon our arrival at the train station, we had a staff member (Maria) meet us. She walked us to the hotel where we were greeted with a lovely hibiscus tea and warm towel to ease our arrival. The receptionist (Karen) assisted in taking us to our room once it was available and helped us throughout our stay, even signing us for a Pisco Sour course with bartender Fabrizzio! With all the patience in the world, Fabrizzio walked me through how to make a Pisco Sour, the traditional Peruvian cocktail. The restaurant aspect of the hotel is also quite excellent. Carlos, the restaurant manager, does a brilliant job at welcoming the guests and answering any questions that may arise, during breakfast or dinner (if you so choose to dine there). And I cannot forget the Hotel Manager, Alcides. He truly made our stay unforgettable. Even before we stepped foot in Peru, he was able to provide us with a tour guide for our visit of Machu Picchu, who was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He also recommended places for us to visit and have lunch at! He also will not hesitate to have a chat with you as you are waiting in the lobby to let time pass by! I wish I took more pictures to display, but this hotel is A+++"

"The El Albergue is a very unique property. It’s literally located steps from the train tracks at Ollantaytambo Station. There is definitely noise from the trains, but I booked an interior room that faces the mountains and had no issues. The property is very quaint and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again."

"Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel was magical. The setting is peaceful and lush, with beautiful trails and gardens throughout the property. The staff were kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Our room was cozy and clean, and the restaurant food was outstanding. Perfect location—close to town and the train, yet quiet and serene. Highly recommend!"

"Totally unique amazing architectural piece of art. The organic structure is so cool. Stayed in a delux suite with jacuzzi. Room was fabulous (if more than a little quirky!) you have to forgive some of the shortcomings due to the design (not the best fitting windows, access down track a little hard for taxis, asking them to turn on hot water for jacuzzi). No room terrace/balcony but plenty of communal sitting areas, balcony and beautiful gardens sitting watching hummingbirds. 25 minutes to Ollytaytambo for Machu Picchu and 90 minutes from Cusco (try the route back with a taxi tour half day to Maras, Moray and Chincherro for 250 Sol = £50) The staff are really friendly and trying very hard, but there are some aspects the management need to pay attention to in order to fully present this incredible hotel. We pre-ordered dinner for 8pm and got a phone call at 7:50 saying it was on the table going cold and could we come right now, but then they didn’t serve drinks or deserts. Vegetarian options limited and I paid the same for a full beef and risotto dish without the beef. Breakfast however was amazing with lovely food, beautiful presentation and great unique choices. Almost there but not quite but still worth it! "
