"Lovely place to stay. Breakfast was great with a large choice of hot and cold food brought to your table. As an extra treat we had home made cake every day. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very good. Very close to shops, restaurants and transport."

"Small and cozy but clean and has everything you need. Wonderful owner, stayed up late to check us in as we arrived really late due to train delays. Even showed us a map, how to get around windermere and told us which towns are worth visiting. You can order a full english breakfast from them as well which tasted nice. "

The hotel is rather olde worlde, with bookshelves, worn but comfortable furnishings and many historic and informative pictures. The hotel is located near an interesting beach, many good walking routes, and an impressive ('tho hilly) golf course, but there is not much else in the way of other bars, or other...

"We just stayed for one night as we were passing the area. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfortable with high quality bedding. Our choice of breakfast was a full cooked English which was cooked to order with everything hot and tasty. The owners were friendly and pointed us in the right direction for a walk nearby. The only downside is the noise of the main road which is close by. If you don’t mind that then this is a really good place to stay. "
