"We really enjoyed staying at the Tar Heel House. It was just what we were looking for on our long weekend getaway with friends and family. It’s nestled back in the woods which gives you the feeling of being in the mountains. Every room in the house offered amazing views of the lake. Easy access putting the boats in at the marina. "This is one of the best VRBO’s we have ever rented. The house was so comfortable & beautiful decorated. The fireplace was easy to use, the fire pit right by the Lake was so soothing, especially after a dip in the amazing hot tub. OMGOSH the Foot jets!!! "Very clean throughout! Coffee bar was stocked nicely!! Beds were conformable as well. The canoe & kayaks were fun on the lake too! The AC went out the 1st night but they tried hard to get it fixed but over a holiday weekend wasn't able to be replaced! The 2 mini split units helped keep it tolerable! The host tried and that's what matters!!Will definitely visit again!!"

"The property owner was very responsive to any issues we had during our stay. Parking in front was a bit tricky with the build up at the road, but having the additional parking in the back helped. Only real downside was that the outlets in two rooms weren't working, no matter how many times we flipped the breaker. Home was spacious and suitable for our needs for the weekend. Thanks!"
