Our room overlooked the beautiful garden at the back of the property, adjacent to private car parking, and a gentle stroll down to the town. We plan to stay again, truly a delightful experience."

"My room, which was beautiful, was at the front of the hotel. Given that this is the main high street area, it was so loud. There are benches outside the front and a gang of youths hung around there, shouting, making noise, throwing things till after 11pm. The road sweeper came before 6am and the hanging basket watering company came before 6am too. Given that I'd stayed the night due to an important work activity, I got very little sleep and this affected my performance. Granted, these issues...

"The location is very handy if looking for a short stay near the M6. The hotel is reasonably large and caters for casual visitors as well as hotel guys given it's location next to water. Accordingly, the bar areas can be quite busy. The rooms were clean, a decent size and the beds extremely large and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was tasty and well presented and the service attentive without being intrusive. The Hotel prices were higher than some but still felt it was reasonable value...

"I want to give a really balanced view about The Stone House Hotel. I was staying for two nights on business and I found all of the colleagues that worked there to be extremely friendly and helpful. The food served is of a high quality. I had both the breakfast and items from their Indian menu - everything was really good. The downsides are: there is no air conditioning in the hotel. I know we are in the peak of summer but the rooms were stiflingly hot - the single fan provided just wasn't...
