"Everything about our stay from booking to departing could not have been better. Our host Katerina was always on hand to provide information updates and accommodate our needs. The cottage was outstanding in every way, well stocked with all the necessary items and some for a self catering stay. The cleanliness was top notch and the refurbishment which has taken place compliments the property so well. "Well-equiped kitchen, lovely views from all rooms, the heater was not always doing what we wanted it to do, but there was a lovely fireplace, we lit some cosy fires. Very nicely remote, private lot."

"It's far easier to talk about the negatives points of Shorecroft....nothing! We've stayed in holiday cottages for years and Shorecroft is by far the most outstanding. The location and views are simply stunning, Shorcroft itself is fabulous and oozes quality, from the beds and bedding through to the kitchen utensils, literally everything has been thought about and executed to perfection. There was even smoked salmon and Champagne awaiting our arrival. We definitely hope to return, thank you."

"Stunning location and room was immaculately clean. We ate at the pub next door which is the same owner as the hotel, food was excellent. The only small criticism (and it didn’t really bother us because it was only a one night stay) is that there only seemed to be two channels we could get on Tv and no WiFi connection in room , so we couldn’t access Netflix "

"We booked a room with a loch view which was exceptional. The welcome on arrival was the best we'd ever had with a wee dram and freshly baked shortbread. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was as expected and we weren't disappointed. Couldn't fault anything about our stay and would stay there again if we are in the area."

"A beautiful hotel with grand high ceilings and an eccentric historical townhouse charm. Perfectly located right on the shore of Loch Maree, with private lake access. Our room was peaceful and quiet, offering breathtaking views of the lake. The host was exceptionally friendly, warm and accommodating, adding a welcoming atmosphere to both the hotel and its cosy bar. He went out of his way to meet our requests, making us feel truly cared for. Easily our best experience on the NC500. "
