"The residences are next to the hotel. The area has been renovated nicely and the residences are also beautiful with high quality finishes.
A few negatives:
- no coat hanger
- light switches are not the most convenietly placed
Otherwise this is a beautiful hotel and would return anytime "

ibis Budapest City
10/10 Excellent
"A comfortable, clean hotel with helpful staff in a very central, maybe a bit rough around the edges neighborhood. The facility, staff and convenience of location are all very good, I thought. "

"From the moment we arrived until the time we left everyone here went out of their way to make sure we had anything and everything we could ever want or need! Everything at this hotel was absolutely outstanding! Would highly recommend staying here on the next trip to Budapest."
"From pre-arrival communication to post check-out the staff has been extremely professional, helpful and welcoming. The location of the hotel was walking distance to most touristic sites, restaurants and cafes. Room sizes are generous and amenities at the roof level were a treat to use. Thank you. "
"Exceeded Expectations – A Truly Memorable Stay
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel—it exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were incredibly spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a number of unexpected touches that made our stay extra comfortable. For example, the in-room washing machine was a fantastic surprise and came in handy, even though it wasn’t listed in the amenities.
The breakfast was outstanding—truly one of the best I’ve ever encountered. The variety and quality of options were exceptional, and it was clear a lot of care goes into creating such a generous spread.
What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the access to the executive lounge. The gentleman who managed the lounge was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs. His hospitality was unmatched and genuinely elevated our experience.
If I had one small suggestion, it would be to consider updating the mattresses in the near future. They weren’t bad, but a refresh might enhance the overall comfort.
We would absolutely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to others looking for a top-tier experience."
"Kempinski Budapest has to be in the running for the best hotel in all of Budapest. It's a block from Vaci street shopping and only a couple blocks from the Danube river. Kempinski has all the amenities one could ever need and the location is top notch. Kempinski Budapest gets my highest recommendation. "
"It's our 7 times staying there, always good, and love the interior, only this time during check in, some error with system, so it took 15 minutes to check in, and one of the receptionist gave me completely different room number so I had to go back down to get a new room keys, interesting"
"Intercity Budapest is beautiful and modern. Convenience, in a large city is premium and Intercity's location is ideal. We believe we get an exceptional stay for a fair price.
But... it's the People that bring us back ! Every single staff member, every single visit, every single need or request, treat us (and all guests) like family.
It is such a treat to see staff members love and support each other, show that they enjoy taking care of visitors, be efficient while wearing a smile. We truly believe that staff from Intercity Budapest should be teaching staffs in other buildings and other cities about professionalism, courtesy, customer care.
This is our third summer staying at Intercity Budapest. Each return visit, we are welcomed, recognized, and treated like family. We will repay this kindness with our loyalty. E & R "
