"The Seahorse is a complete trainwreck. We had a three-night stay scheduled. On the first two nights, we were woken up by a smoke alarm twice each early morning. On the second night, in the morning, the carbon dioxide alarm went off, and the fire department came. After this, we decided to leave. Enough was enough. We went to the front office, which did not open until 10 AM, and explained. We wanted a refund the day we had left and one night with the issues. We were willing to pay for one night, which I felt was fair given the horrendous experience. The person at the front desk told us there were no refunds, and it is posted everywhere. She was one of the nastiest people I have ever met. It was obvious to me that she had stolen money from people before me when they made the same request. So, I did not argue and left. The first thing I did was call my credit card company for them to advocate on my behalf. They refunded me for the two nights that the Seahorse staff member would not. My advice to others is even if you do not have a place, sleep in your vehicle before getting a room at the Seahorse. I have never met anyone like the person at the front desk the day we wanted to leave. I could not believe she would not refund us at least for the one day we had not used at this point. As I said, she is a professional at stealing from others."
