Great Location and Good Amenities

Property has everything. Walk to beach, pool , hot tub, grill, on site management, easy parking. Condo was clean and perfect for our needs. We enjoyed it!

Beautiful condo and location!

Really beautiful, updated modern condo with all of the amenities, located just a short 30 second walk down a path to the beach. We would definitely stay here again! Also walking distance to a few restaurants and shops. Thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property (Unit 9) was a fantastic location. Upon arrival the unit was not at all clean. All kitchen drawers, silverware drawer, cabinets had food crumbs them and cabinets sticky. Bathroom vanities had not been cleaned except the tops. Drawers in cabinet dirty. The dishwasher and dryer were broken. The filter in A/C unit filthy and the lanai filthy. Within 24 hours the unit had been cleaned again, filter replaced and the dishwasher and washer repaired. That is the good part and Sean in the office was very helpful facilitating the repairs but none of this should have been necessary. It is difficult to keep the lanai clean due to the location with wind/dust hitting it directly but it had not been cleaned at all prior to our arrival. The fake plants were loaded with dirt and dust and should be tossed. The beds were very comfortable but only had one bottom sheet which was on the bed. Sean once again helped getting another sheet. This unit needs a huge professional cleaning. We had friends staying at Beach Castle Resort also and their unit was clean and everything working well. The membership at Cedars East was wonderful, the beach at Beach Castle great, and lots of umbrellas and chairs provided which was so nice. If the unit had been clean with everything working this report would be all good. I would not recommend this particular unit but would recommend Beach Castle Resort .

Long weekend vacations

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time visiting Longboat, hopefully more to come. We love the location and the apartment we stayed was well equipped with kitchen utensils, appliances and bed were decent.The only concern we had, BTW the staff solved it in a blink of and eye, was the AC duct dirty and my daughter had a very bad rash since she is allergic. As I said the staff solve the issue and we enjoyed the rest of our stay and will definitely back soon.

We rented units 1,2, and 9. The Change in bedding configuration from when we reserved to what we found when we arrived in unit 1 was challenging. Changes from 2 twins to a king was not noted in the web description. Also, we almost got cited by the for alcohol on the beach. LBK alcohol beach policy should be noted in the checkin packet.

Great time at Beach Castle

Great location!

Location of property and our # 9 unit was perfect. Partial view of the gulf from patio and steps to beach. Unit itself was spacious, however both mattresses in second bedroom had huge pits in center making it impossible to sleep on, had to sleep on sofa instead. Living room blinds were broken and slats missing. A/C didn’t cool bedrooms. For the rate, these important items should have been in order. But we were on the beach - so overall a very pleasant stay!!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit #9 is comfortable and spacious. BUT, it is not beachfront. It's beachside with a very small partial view of ocean from the patio only. We like to see the beach from our unit and there are no views from inside this unit. There are only 4 units with a beachfront view and all were occupied during our stay and the office was closed when we arrived. I called on our way to the beach to confirm we had a beachfront room and was told that we did. We were extremely disappointed but made the best of our weekend. Short walk to beach and comfortable unit. The AC was pre set to 78 degrees. We had to wake up in the middle of the night to lower the air back to a reasonable level. Not sure if there is a way to change this. Contacted RVA and they admitted the error. Only offered the difference in rental fee. That's expected due to their error. But seems like they would offer more since we have stayed with RVA MANY times over the last few years. This was a special occasion for us and a view of the beach was the main reason we booked this room. We had other options when booking that were beachfront. Make sure you know which unit you are booking in advance and confirm before your trip.

Nice location but had a Bedbug issue and RVA not helpful onsite

Reviewer Comments: Like location but anyone that wants to get to their room has to walk by your patio so not private. Thought about rebooking for 2022 with some contingences but RVA said costs were not set for 2022. The dishwasher did not work and advised the office. The dryer had heavy lint possible fire hazard . The 2 sliding glass doors do not lock but they are screened in. The king size bed was like sleeping on a board so after 3 nights we moved to the other bedroom with 2 queen size beds that were more comfortable but had no view of the outside. My husband sleep in one and I slept in the other because we didn't sleep well for 3 nights and needed the sleep. I woke up feeling itchy thinking it was sand only to find out when I got home it was Bed Bug Bites. I called the office and they said thanks for the information . I am glad that we did not rebook for 2022 it was a blessing in disguise. Glad I work from home because I can't go back to work like this. For $2500 for the week I was disappointed and embarrassed that I was subject to this horrible itching skin issue I have to deal with for the next few weeks. Tis unit needs to be sanitized.
