Gulfside Getaway – Silver Sands Resort #235 by RVA

RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #235 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Great location!

Place was nice and clean and a great location! Pool area and beach were perfect with chairs provided! Beds were very uncomfortable but that was really our only complaint

Great Long weekend trip

Had a great trip. The location is good. The place is on the beach but the unit is not ocean front. Had everything we needed. I did not see the checkout information as it was emailed and not in the binder printed, so make sure you look at your email on vacation for that.

Great Weekend at Silver Sands

Our family had a great time staying at the Silver Sands. The front desk staff made the check-in / check-out a breeze and were very helpful with information about the area. The unit we stayed in was cleaned and had everything we needed during our stay. We would like to go back during the summer in 2024.

Weekend Get Away

I was very impressed with the facility and cleanliness of our room. It’s not luxurious or necessarily up to date, but clean and practical for our weekend get away. I would definitely stay here again. 😊

Hard to beat location

My family of 5 (3 kids ages 1-15) arrived a bit after office hours, so our late arrival envelope was ready to go in the easy to find box, just like our welcome email said it would be. We got settled and found some sand in the master bed sheets. Housekeeping took care of this immediately the next morning when I let the office know. The location was perfect. Just a short walk to the beach. They had beach chairs you could borrow. They were not all in great condition, but hey- better than a sandy bum if you forgot your chair. The pool was a great size and deck seating was ample. We were able to walk from our room, down the street to dinner and to a convenience store for milk (0.4 mi one way). Lots of great locations within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

I really enjoyed this property. The location is perfect and the accommodations were just as described. Kitchen is well stocked for light cooking. Enjoyed the chairs and umbrellas.

Sweet & Simple

What a perfect spot to enjoy the beach! Basic accommodations located a quick slip down to the beach. Chairs & umbrellas available; as well as nice beach towels from our room. The slightly heated pool was the perfect balance to beach time! Location was calm & yet, easy to get to places to eat. Our family LOVED every minute! Front office was so kind & helpful. We are hoping to secure a spot at some point in the future!!!

Clean, friendly and beachfront

This was a great property. The room we were in was 2 bedroom 2 bath. It was quiet and enjoyed the garden view. The description online made it appear to have a small view of the beach which there not one but I walked 1 minute to beach. Pool was clean also. Staff members were friendly and did a great job. Two suggestions: new mattresses (they were very bad) and had difficulty connecting to internet (this ensured I could not work which was good but frustrating!) I will stay here again. Thank you Silver Sands.

Disappointing interior

Rental agency customer service was impressive considering we had to call them in at least 4 times in 2 days. Condo was dirty, mold in shower, toilet overflowed, vertical blind slats missing, stained coffee cups that I was able to clean very easily. Beach is beautiful but would not recommend this condo.

Great little getaway place

We enjoyed our stay and the property is nicely appointed. Could certainly use some newer fry pans for cooking. Area was quiet with close beach access. and the unit was in close proximity to things. Also, wish they would have had some Kleenex in the rooms, especially with the price we paid, they could have thrown in 2 boxes of Kleenex in the unit's bathrooms at least. Staff was kind and efficient, but "no boxes of Kleenex" offered!! Even hotels offer that. Great for a 2-3 short stay!
