RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #248 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

The coffee maker, toaster, blender, and kitchen utensils are ancient! The furniture is also very old and uncomfortable. Suggest a Keurig machine and a fridge that has an ice-maker.

Mattress needs replaced. Room always had a musty smell, think that's why the A/C unit was left in continuous fan mode. The room appearance was out dated and needed some attention. Best way to describe it, we will not be coming back. Parking sucked.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were disappointed in the poor cleaning of the rooms,especially the screened in porch which was very dirty. Also the air conditioning was out when we first got there, it was repaired shortly after we checked in, but went out again late Sunday afternoon. It was still not repaired when we checked out. We've been renting a room at Silver Sands for appox. 20 years sand this is the 1st time we've experienced these issues. We have recommended Silver Sands to many friends and family members over the years and hope they won't experience the same issues.

Everything we were looking for and more

The property was exactly how described and we were quite happy about how clean everything was. Just a very short walk and you are on the beach. The amenities were very good, beach chairs, umbrella provided. We would definitely come back and stay again!

Terrible Customer Service

My wife and child became very sick and we were unable to travel. We requested to change the dates, which was denied, we then had to cancel and were not refunded any money. We were forced to spend 2,000 on a vacation that we did not take. Terrible customer service experience.

Reviewer Comments: We paid for ocean front and our facility was not , place was old , bathroom and shower was rusty old water pressure was bad, refrigerator in kitchen was leaking inside and making our food wet, furnitures needed to be washed and cleaned they put a broken light in leaving room bed was noisy and uncomfortable we paid $300 per day for this trashy place We will never rent place from RVA again we found several cockroaches in the kitchen, bathroom and living room ( I took pictures of them)
