"Spent a week in the property. Great stay in a generous sized property. Less than 5 minutes from the beach. 5 minute walk from the town centre. Good range of shops and eating places in Newbiggin. Near park land which was ideal for the dog. House was well equipped. Good sized bathroom. Rear yard was a nice suntrap and very private. Good sized bedrooms and very clean."

"Ckean, modern cottage with every facility you could want including comfy beds and great showers. The cottage is in a lovely tranquil settling of trees with the sound of a brook very close. Its convenient for all the popular places to visit. Bamburgh castle, Seahouses, Berwick and lots of loved local villages. "Staff very friendly, we had a family delux room, was spacious, beautifully decorated, tv in both rooms, my daughter loved the standing bath, good cooked breakfast, location great, the steak night in Tuesdays absolutely delicious, such a great offer, we are going to book next year, couldn’t fault the hotel, had an amazing stay"

"A very enjoyable stay with a comfortable room and friendly, efficient staff. The initiative of offering a free drink for each time the room was not serviced was excellent and a practice which other hotels would be well advised to copy. The hotel was a little distant from the town but this wasn't a major problem and the on-site parking was more than adequate"

"This was our second visit to Charlton Hall and this time stayed in The Tempus. It didn’t disappoint. Everything is well thought out, the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated. We ate in the Orangery a couple of times, both of which were delicious. The staff are attentive and courteous. What’s not to love! We will return! "
