This was a GREAT stay! Perfect location ... right in the Roman theater arena, yet our room was not on the inside of the walls, so it was nice and quiet at night. Accommodations were wonderful, clean and comfortable; location was perfect. We were at the arena, close to the Roman wall around the city, and very close and walkable to several food, shopping, and historical sights. Definitely recommend this location!

Air conditioning was great in August heat wave. The host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The b&b was just a short walk to a café with an assortment of pastries and sandwiches. The location was central to the shops and restaurants.

My husband and I loved our stay at this B and B. Monica was extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable and responded to all of our questions and concerns. The accomodation is very well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Well located to enjoy visiting all the beautiful sites of Lucca. The breakfast provided at a nearby cafe was also a bonus- friendly staff and many choices. Would highly recommend this accommodation. Many thanks and happy to return on our next visit to Lucca!

We only stayed one night but were very happy with our room. The location was good. You will need to take a taxi if you arrive by train. Lucca is a very walkable city. We were able to relax in the lobby the day we left before going to the train station

The room, bathroom, bedding all very clean and the bedroom was quite large. The welcome we received was very good and a good explanation of how the amenities work. Breakfast was just around the corner in a little cafe (all was very good). There are steps leading upto the room. Aircon a little noisy. The location of the appartment was excellent. Overall very pleased and would definitely go back.

Lovely B&B

Lovely friendly B&B right in the centre of Lucca. Although the room was small it had everything you could need and there was also a sitting area by reception which was great. Very comfortable bed, great air conditioning, good shower. We’d definitely stay here again.

B&B is well located, built on remains of Roman amphitheater and you can see that in the building. Room was small and hot water was only lukewarm in the small shower. Staff was very friendly and cleaned up our room every day including new towels. Don’t go to Lucca in October - every open space and square is taken over by tents and temporary buildings for a comic and game event at the end of the month. Ruins all the views.

Beware - I booked through Expedia but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. So I called the B&B to try to make the change but they cannot do this. They saved my room for me but I had to pay for the night I wasn’t there. Annoying. I had a room overlooking the plaza. It’s very noisy with buskers and their sound equipment, for the most part playing music they think Americans would like. Also the volume of diners talking in the street just below, made me want to close the windows much of the time, it was like being at a loud party where you knew no one. It was a great view, so definitely a trade off Monica, who seems to do everything there, was friendly and helpful, but her time there is erratic.

First trip to Italy...location of the hotel was perfect. Monica was friendly and helpful...room was clean ....air conditioning welcome....Breakfast.....was ok but never had to go to another premises for it (was at a cafe round the corner which wasn't explained when booking). Would go room only if went again as cost of coffee and a croissant was less than the 10 Euros we were alloted.

Monica is friendly and tries hard to make sure you have a good stay. Good location, but there can be noise. The breakfast is at a nearby coffee shop. You get a 10 Euro credit and choose what you like. Worked good for us. The room is not brand new, but we liked it. There is good storage space.

Location is great. Room was a bit tight but very comfortable bed. A mirror in the bedroom would be great because no aircon in barhroom so very hot for drying hair. Overall great value for money. And thank you for coming out at 11pm to fix the aircon!

Fabulous location. Clean and secure. Cute and authentic old building with character and charm. We had two rooms and each was different. My only criticism is we needed a fan in the room, in between season for AC or heat and was a bit stuffy to sleep. But hostess was friendly and the location can’t be beat. Breakfast included at nice little restaurant across the street.
