"Interesting experience. There is no on-site staff, but the building is in excellent (restored) condition. You let yourself in with the door code and then you’re on your own.
The on-site restaurant is not operating, so we drove a couple miles for dinner. We made breakfast from what was on site.
Thankfully there was no noise from the railroad outside.

"Great place to stay. Restaurant was really good! Had 3 meals there, and all were delicious and carefully thought out and executed.
My only issue was with the young host at the restaurant one evening, I think her name was Celi. Barely a greeting, barely any eye contact, curt, and short. No grace or sense of hospitality. This position is so important…it is the first experience your guest has with the restaurant, and it was a huge fail.

"We got there around midnight and left at 8:30 am. But the room was clean and though our late check in was inconvenient, we were happy they accommodated us. The surrounding area is ok, but it wasn’t where we were hanging out so it didn’t matter too much "

"We have stayed at quite a few motels during our Canadian/US roadtrip and this motel is right up there as one of our favourites. The rooms were clean and tidy, after a long days drive we were happy to order a freshly made pizza with some cool drinks and sit on the patio and enjoy the view over the river. "The staff had the personality of plain instant oatmeal mixed with water. But they were present and got me checked in quickly.
If you have hair that is thicker than a bald man, be prepared for it to take FOREVER to rinse shampoo and conditioner out. But there was plenty of hot water to do so in the trickle that came out.
AC worked beautifully so my room was able to be set at morgue cold in the ridiculously hot outside weather. And the pool looked clean and fabulous!"
