"Location to the busy areas of Freeport is steps away from this quiet oasis. Very nice innkeepers and staff will be there to make your stay pleasant while allowing you the privacy of a hotel guest.

New Cottage Perfect for a Peaceful and Quiet stay on the Ocean with Beach

"We had 3 generations staying in the Friendly Cottage and all of us loved it. The grandkids loved climbing down the rocks to the little beach in front of the cottage and walking to nearby Cedar Beach to swim. My husband, son, and grandson really enjoyed playing golf at Highland Green Golf Club in Topsham. My daughter-in-law and I were happy just sitting in the red chairs in front of the cottage watching lobstermen pull up their traps and reading our books. We all enjoyed sailing on the Schooner Alert and eating great meals at Cooks Lobster House on the island, The Dolphin in Harpswell, and The Great Impasta in Brunswick. But our best meal was the one in the cottage when my husband cooked lobsters for us! Much less expensive than getting lobster dinners in any of the restaurants. Everything we needed for our private lobster bake was right there in the cottage. A special highlight for my son was taking his family on a tour of Bowdoin College, his alma mater. It was a great family vacation and one we will always treasure."

"Very clean and comfortable home, with beautiful sunset views. Kitchen is exceptionally appointed. Gorgeous landscaping with cedar wax wings, gold finches and song sparrows flitting about. Lots of Adirondack seating for coastal views with your coffee and book. "

"Exactly as advertised. A beautiful older home, but I say that to emphasize the charm. The views were great. The kitchen was well appointed and spacious. The had everything we need for a lobster boil. More amenities than advertised such as beach chairs, beach towels and a water cooler. Location was beautiful, near the end of Bailey Island. "

"This place was right on the ocean and just beautiful surrounding shore . I’ve stayed on the bay side of the island but this was so much more exciting. You can’t beat having waves hitting the shore line. The house was just right for 4 people. Would love to visit again and stay here. We all loved it"

"This home was a gem nothing short of amazing the 360 views from any room were top notch.My only complaint is that the floors were very sandy/sticky/dirty, we swept and mopped shortly upon our arrival but this would not deter me from renting again and again. So comfortable & gorgeous. Do not even think about it BOOK IT ASAP. 10/10 would return. "
