"My father and I recently returned from a stay at Sandcastles - and I would wholeheartedly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a very friendly, local, and down-to-earth stay! As we first arrived, check-in was quite simple and staff was very friendly and swift to help us learn. Every day&night the resort had great food options either up top at the Silver Sands restaurant, or at the bar near the pool; the Castle Blu, with good drinks and great staff at both locations! The Itadone Variety store also came in quite handy for some emergency late night snacks, and again the fellows who ran the store were very accomodating and helpful! I'll also mention that Sandcastles sits right next to the entrance to the ORBB- a rather nice, cute, and secure beach! Finally I'm going to shout out a bunch of amazing people who made our trip so great (in no particular order) - An-Mari at the front desk who was always happy to provide information/assist us with any issues we had, Both of the amazing Marie's who were day/night shift bartenders at the Castle Blu, Mark the chef at Castle Blu, Andrew the artist, Rasta Demus, and my man Kevin - who always kept us entertained, assisted us with anything we needed, and provided plenty of laughs & friendship, Kerry-Ann, our fantastic waitress every time we went to the Silver Sands restaurant, who always looked well after us, Finally, Jenine the great housekeeper, Paul the property manager, and Syd the lifeguard always made sure our stay was very clean!"

"Our room was okay,the doors are old fashion,but I feel safe anyway,there was always security presence.AC work,hot water was there.the office staff was friendly.and the beach and other attractions was right across the street.it was worth the price.and I enjoyed my stay.thank you guys for everything."

"The suite is not what it appears in the pictures. Poor condition and unclean. Actually, moved to another location and was refunded the full amount with the exception of the one night. We had no choice to stay as we had no option due to arrival time, needing to connect with the host and with VRBO. Such situations creates chaos and can leave people in poor circumstance. It's difficult to get in touch with an actual human to talk too, and It takes days for the refund from VRBO. You then have to arrange and pay for new accommodations which most people don't have the extra money for, especially if your there for a couple weeks. I'm not a picky individual, I have been to Jamaica several times and have stayed in All inclusives, in the country side, in Kingston, Mobay to Negril. Ochi is my favorite but this suite was very disappointing. Bugs on pillows, stained yellow pillows, floor dirty, unswept, no hot water, curtains stained yellow, bedding was wet due to windows being left opened, the smell was bad and my husband actually became ill with cough and sore throat. Videos and pics were taken and sent to VRBO who determined that a refunded would be given. Although the process was disappointing and frustrating there was one person at VRBO that actually cared and finally assisted us with what needed to happen."
