"It was great"

"I stayed in the cottage, and my family stayed at the house on the same property. My cottage was perfect. I am 1 person, but it would be comfortable for a couple. It was clean, well stocked with kitchen items and bathroom and beach towels, I absolutely loved the outdoor shower, and only 1 time was I joined by a small lizard. Chris, the grounds keeper was very nice and helpful. He kept the grounds and beach very clean. There was a security guard on the property at night, and once I got used to the sound of the palm trees brushing against the house, I felt very safe. It was very peaceful and secluded, which is exactly what we wanted. We had a rental car and we drove to Camp Bay Beach, which was beautiful, and also to Porta Gorda for a wonderful dinner at Wagundan Restaurant. We stayed at Never Winter for 9 days, and only 1 day was overcast, but no rain. I would definitely return to Never Winter if given the opportunity. Make sure that you bring the strongest bug spray, and reapply often."

"Although a little rough to get to, it's more than well worth the effort. The space is beautifully appointed, comfortable, and has a staff that are attentive and ready to help worth anything. The private beach means that you have plenty of seating options to choose from. Sit back and watch the egrets fishing or take the kayaks or paddleboards out. Make sure to go snorkeling if you get the chance. There are tons of fish, anemones, crabs, jellies and tons more to see, especially near the rocky walls. Wish we had more time."

"Outstanding property. New BQ grill never used until us. Water delivered. Road to house was rough and dusty. Midweek a road grader made most ruts disappear but not the dust. Not a route for rental car unless SUV. We had two pickups so no issue other than dust. On site maintenance man in separate house was friendly and helpful. His cat became part of our group on porch. Upstairs bathrooms need to let water run for a while before expecting hot shower as the water heater must be in basement. Lots of steps that wore this 76 year old out. Fantastic views. AC worked too well. Fully stocked kitchen, WiFi and tvs with lots of channels to watch. It was a 3-5 min drive to and from Roatan Dive Center. Would definitely stay here on next years visit."

"We really enjoyed the stay. The staff was great and the facility was great with constant cleaning and maintenance. However the owner of the building arrived on site and was staying in one of the units. While we were relaxing on the chairs near the beach, we heard the owner berating an employee(s) over the intercom system. There were several employees working around the building with several speakers around the building, for all to hear. Our chairs were approximately 50' from the building and this berating went on for several minutes. We understand that all employees can make mistakes and need feed back. This is not the way to do it nor did we want to hear it. We approached another guest who stated this type of behavior has happened before and the owner will later apologize to the employee. I own a business and employ many people. I also own property managed through VRBO in the U.S. I hope an employee or guest would make me aware of a mistake or poor judgement on my part before i embarrassed myself, employees or guests. I think your staff treated us very very well on your behalf. I hope you learn to treat them with more respect on the behalf of these staff members and future guests."

"DO NOT STAY AT THIS RENTAL- I would bet money that the good reviews are made by personal friends of the host. There was NO RUNNING HOT WATER, and a literal hole next to the front door so you could reach in and unlock the bolt lock- THERE WAS NO WAY TO LOCK THE HOME- The pool was disgusting and being used by the SCUBA company on the property- it was not private. The hot tub and dishwasher were broken. The host refused to refund us any of our $5000 even though we left the unit immediately after learning of all the problems. This rental was so dirty, and everything was broken down, dirt and debris all over the beach. Dangerous rusted out drainage grates on the ground. Also totally not a real beach.. dirty and unusable. In addition to not even being able to lock the unit, there are tons of people on the property all the time for the dive shop. Host is nasty and rude- She is just scamming people out of their money. The neighborhood is not in a good area and she promised a security guard who never showed up. The rental is in total disrepair. DO NOT GET TRICKED INTO RENTING THIS HOME- IT IS THE WORST RENTAL I HAVE EVER BOOKED."

"I have been struggling a little bit with the best way to describe our first stay with Wikkid, but I think I've got it. Our time here was like putting on your favorite pair of jeans- like this place was made just for us. We loved our room with a view the water. Smokey's Grill has amazing food and cocktails. The diving was fun, but also safe and professional. The whole family provided us with warm hospitality. We will be back!"

"This place was recently purchased. I met the new owners and they were extremely friendly and helpful. They offer dinner and breakfast They will give you a ride anywhere you want to go. It’s walking distance to the airport. The price was excellent, considering the price at the other hotels on the island."
