There are homeless camps as you drive through the west side of Oahu to get to the condo; however there are no camps on the beach that is closest to the condo and I was never bothered by the homeless. "The property was superb. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Quiet, tranquil location, near all the nice beaches. Grocery store was only 5 min away. Shark’s cove, Three Tables, and Waimea Bay, all right there also. Very easy check in and out. Owner very friendly and honest. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to skip all of the commercialized, touristy stuff, and stay at a location away from noise and crowds, as if you were in paradise (oh yeah, you are in paradise). "The studio was clean, spacious & nice. However, the host advises "just steps from the ocean." Totally false! To get across to the ocean, you have to cross an extremely active highway. Furthermore, there are several homeless camps you also have to pass. To enter or exit the property, you have to get out of your vehicle and unlock the iron gates that are secured with a bicycle lock. "This rental was just ok. It was very close to the beach but had absolutely no views. The rental was cheaply furnished. We didn't spend a lot of time there, really just slept there. A/C worked fine in the bedroom but the living area was warm. The shower was good with plenty of pressure and hot water. It had a washer and dryer which allowed us to wash clothes. It worked for us as a fairly inexpensive place to sleep and bathe just a very short walk (maybe 150 feet) from the beach."
