"Located upcountry, you are greeted to lush grounds with plenty of fruit trees and sweet smelling flowers. Charming and helpful hosts, shared kitchen/toilet/showers in main house, 7 rooms with code locking doors. Very easy to get to, great location to get around the rest of the island. We would stay again! …expect bugs"

"If you are looking for a wonderful unique Maui experience , stay at Hanks lovely cottage. It is a large open air cottage that allows you to feel as though you are living in the lushness of outdoors but the comfort of a private home. Large 2 sided lanai, outdoor shower ( has hot water) cool fans thru out and gardens with beautiful flowers of every kind. Also has a large white rabbit that visits, geckos, and incredible chorus of frogs and crickets at night. Hank is there if you need him. He lives next door but does not bother at all if you don’t. This was a slice of heaven!!! We hope to visit again!!"

If you like cool nights and feeling like you are close to the stars, this is the place to be! The bedroom is on the second floor, so must be good with stairs, but it's such a nice retreat. Easy location to get to and from, and the hosts were excellent."

"This is a beautiful, quiet, and relaxing place to stay that offers a nice breakfast and lovely grounds with pool, jacuzzi, fire pits, and comfortable outdoor furniture. There’s a schedule of a variety of yoga classes over a week and areas conducive to meditation. That said, we never saw staff around other than at check-in and breakfast and wonder if they’re short on employees. We didn’t receive any room service over our 5 night stay, nor did we ask, and the beautifully designed grounds needed weeding. Those shortcomings didn’t diminish our experience and we do recommend it for what it does offer and for its location. Perhaps Lumeria was and could again be a jewel. It has such good bones and with a bit of attention and management could be exceptional."
