"This holiday inn was looking very tired. The first room we were offered had no electricity working. The second room offered was a handicap assist room where the hot water took 5 minutes to come through. The room was on the 2nd floor and looked out over a busy road and with no double glazing it was very noisy. The air conditioning unit was noisy as well. The staff were friendly and we had a nice meal in the restaurant."

"They have a policy that they will not store luggage. People come to Manaus to explore the Amazon and need a place to store luggage to facilitate short trips into the jungle. The night staff was very rude and unhelpful, suggesting that we rent a hotel room for three nights to store luggage, which was ridiculous. I have never seen this happen at any other hotel I have stayed at. These women seemed totally unaware of the need to give good service in order to promote much-needed tourism in the area. I definitely don’t recommend this hotel for that reason. "

"We were greeted by a well spoken young man that spoke excellent English which was very well received! Super helpful and rooms were small but just what we needed for our purposes. Very clean and buffet breakfast had something for everyone! Very helpful with the little store where we could purchase water and a few very cold beer! "

"Clean rooms and a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good and so was the food in the restaurant. I chose Hotel Saint Paul because they have room safes. The hotel is nice but not fancy. The air conditioning works great though. It’s is near the Theatro Amazonias so you can walk there easily during the day. We were on the third floor and there was a lot of street noise at night, so if you need it quiet to sleep be sure to get a room on the higher floors."
