"My 11 yr old granddaughter saw this listing and begged to stay “at the castle house”. The “castle” is a unique, one of a kind 3 story house, at the end of a trail through the woods. Please be aware that the dirt road and narrow trail to the house might not be suited for small cars. (We have a full sized truck.) We were not allowed access to the 3rd floor of the house, but the 2nd floor had everything we needed. The house has a small elevator that worked well. Although we didn’t have much time to enjoy the view, it would be very nice to have a cup of coffee while sitting on the wrap around porch and listening to the sounds of the river and wildlife. So peaceful! If you want to get away from sounds of civilization, this is the place for you. Our only complaint would be the lack of window coverings. Most of the walls are glass, including the master bathroom and bedrooms. EVEN THOUGH the house is deep in the woods with no neighbors, we were not comfortable sleeping and using the bathroom with no window coverings at all. My first thought was that the glass must be coated so you can’t see in from the outside. But that was not the case. So if you are a very modest or private person, this might be a concern. Other than that, it’s great! "

"The staff was very professional. Easy phone check in and check out. By the time we arrive the receptionist already had my key ready. The room was clean and so where the sheets, towels, and the restroom was functional (I've had a bad experience before so I always check these). Another thing, this is the first hotel stay where we had a staff do the waffles for us, she was extremely nice and kept the breakfast area clean. Even my son noticed this and said he liked her a lot. Great job!"
